Getaway To Discover The Wildlife

Some part in Sabah generally mountainous and the jungles of Sabah are classified as rainforest and host a diverse array of plant and animal species.


Lokkawi wildlife



1) Lok Kawi Wildlife Park

This wildlife park opened on February 17 and its located on the old road of Penampang-Papar. This park is divided into  two components,zoological and botanical. The purpose of this park was opened as a family recreation center as well as Mini-Zoo for children. This park houses many endangered animals such as Borneo Pygmy elephants, Sumatran rhinoceros, Orang Utan, Prosboscis monkeys, Malayan tiger and other species such as deer.



Sepilok Sandakan



2) Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary

Located in Sandakan, Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary is a center for preservation and restoration of the Orang Utans and a rehabilitations centre of orphaned baby Orang Utans that has always been a focus of Attraction for researchers and tourist to know and close up in their natural habitat.



Crocodile Farm



3) Tuaran Crocodile Farm

This park is the largest crocodile farm in Sabah by placing 1000 crocodiles in 7 acre area in the district of Tuaran. Located only 32 km from Kota kinabalu, the park is the place to be listed as a mandatory place to visit.


Marine Turtle Park



4) Marine Turtle Park

Located 40 km in the north of Sandakan in the Sulu Sea, this Park has been recognized as turtle care centre and visitor who came here could take the opportunity to see turtles laying eggs.


Danum Valley



5)The Danum Valley

The untouched tropical rain forest located about 83km from the southwest of Lahad Datu, Sabah. With an area of 438km square of the forest it became the main attraction for scientific research on tropical rain forest. In addition, there is a suspension bridge with 100m lenght and 40m height. The valley is the cener of animal and plant habitat.

Tabin Wildlife Park



6) Tabin Wildlife Park

The park is located 48km from Lahad Datu. Developed with the purpose as a habitat for wildlife, whether animal or plant that increasingly threatned by logging activities. As a visitor can you do jungle trekking activities while you can do jungle trekking activities while enjoying nature's creations available here.
